Oscar fever!! My choices for the 2012 Academy...
Tomorrow is the Academy Awards, my favorite awards show. I know people much cooler than me don’t care about this type of show (and frankly, this is the only awards program I’m really interested in) but I love it. To me it is A Big Deal. I try not to read any predictions (although sometimes they are so in your face you can’t avoid them) and I only read reviews after I’ve seen the film. On the day...

United States citizens and legal residents were separated from their families...

I don't think that word means what you think it...
acephreak:
In an interview with a potential client today, the person used the phrase “racism against my age” like 30 times. It was mostly around the lines of “Since I’m 45 and he’s 25, it was racism against me ‘cause of my age.” Shit.
As we age, we change colors. Like hair.

I love this song. The video seems more inspired in Mockingjay than in the first book of the trilogy or in the events before The Hunger Games. Very haunting.

tumblwithteresa answered your question: List of All Network Science Fiction and Fantasy Pilots for the 2012-2013 season
Something like Devious Maids could turn out like Ugly Betty which ended up being really good. Just sayin’. :)
Looked up a better synopsis:
Devious Maids is loosely based on the Mexican telenovela The Disorderly Maids Of The Neighborhood and centers on four Latina women who are...

The pilot was hilarious. Looking forward to more.
geekquality:
Outland is a new comedy series that just premiered on Australia’s ABC 1. It follows the lives of members of a sci-fi fan club, all of whom are gay (or, as they prefer, “science fiction enthusiast homosexualists”). One of them dressed as a Dalek at one point!
It is hard to say where the show will head, if it will veer into the...

Shopping
This happened to me all the time in Kazakhstan! I’m a 10 too and you would think I was Bigfoot or a circus clown the way the shopkeepers looked at my feet. I had to get my nice boots in Almaty (the southern capital). As for clothes, I went to the second hand shop with clothes donated/bought from Europe and bought tons of winter clothes there (I had just one not very warm coat, coming from...
